I never heard of this and went to check it out and was greeted by this from chrome:

That's because of the site it's on, not necessarily this software. You can download it from here http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/unlocker.html

Are you using POP or IMAP? I used to have lots of trouble with IMAP and Outlook 2007, probably because my gmail account was too big.
POP

Another thing. When I delete my first email it gives me that problem of hanging. Often if I delete emails right after that they delete quickly. Replies to emails also hang.

When it happens you should look with Unlocker or Process Explorer what has that file open.
I use this now:

When I play music on my computer, the volume jumps up and down. Different songs and different music players. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Change the default player for all file types to the same player.

Thanks. It looks like it's already set to WMP.

Is it easy to replace my cd drive? And is there a specific replacement I'm suppose to buy or a specific drive I'm suppose to avoid? Or better am I suppose to look for one brand over the other which is better? Thanks

It's easy for me to replace it.
Buy a replacement that fits in your computer and has at least the features that you need. Most brands are okay. Look on a site like newegg.com to check reviews.

An entire folder on a network drive disappeared and none of my backups or the Windows restore previous versions are working for it either. My guess is that it got deleted from a network computer which doesn't go to the recycle bin. I know it was used within the last month. Any good recovery programs to try as a first step?

I have a HP pavilion lap top win7
I now get this error -BUT not all the time

When starting the computer, the following error appears on the screen:
The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly.
Continued operation is not recommended and may cause unpredictable behavior that could result in random shutdown, data loss or possible system damage. The system will shut down in 15 seconds. To prevent shutdown and continue operation, press the Enter key now.

as crazy as this may sound if I SHAKE  it  before I open error does not show or sometimes even if i do not shake error will not show

my question is how  correct is this error?

I googled and think if fan needs to be changed I may be able to do myself - except I am hesitant as I "THINK " I may need to open not just back but also remove keyboard - I tried to open back but do not have screw driver that fits and after I open how would I know fan needs replacement  -unless you say -replace as error is correct

this leads to next question-- if give out to fix I have to much personal info on it - if they remove hard drive and give to me am I SAFE?

Shaking could be causing a jammed fan to start moving, or it could reconnect a loose connection to the fan or its sensor. If you want to try this on your own, HP has one of the best resources for disassembly and part replacement procedures. If you give it out for repair, a shop should be willing to remove the hard drive provided it is situated in an easily accessible location. Removing the hard drive should keep your personal information safe with you.
