Some of them are obvious like programs that you don't always use

There is a folder in Start > all programs  named start up but it is empty . How do I acces start up in win 7.

Use the run command and enter "what "  ?

shell:startup will give you some of them
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

msconfig.msc
You can also get to it straight from the start menu
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I use a Bear Extender (through a USB port) to connect to Wifi. I recently have been experiencing a lag in my wireless mouse when connecting that way. It seems to be worse when the wifi is weaker although I'm not certain about that. Could it be that the Bear Extender is using draining power available to the USB ports? Is there a way to check?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

It could be interfering with the signal, try to have the extender and mouse done on opposite sides of the laptop.

Tried that. Didn't help. Would ferrite core cable help? If interference was the issue would it make sense that it's only an issue when I have a weak wifi connection?

How would any type of cable help for "wireless" interference?

When the signal is weaker is tries all kind of transmissions to get get the best one (simplified).

The only thing I know is that they have kosher net but the site is open. Any video they click on shows up the message above.

Any idea?

The videos might be hosted by a site other than the one that is open. For example, YouTube videos could be embedded in an allowed site. If YouTube is not allowed, the video will not play.

The site hosting the video is probably blocked.

Support assist you can definitely remove

I have 4 HP programs that I want to remove. That's aside from HP Coolsense which I think I should leave ?

I read somewhere that you have to remove one first,or you cant remove the other
The 4 are :

Application assistant
Security assistant
Software framework
Support assistant

Then there is  also these 4 that I think I might need
HP Launch Box
HP On screen display
HP 3D Drive  guard
HP Quick launch

The monster memory hog 91.6 MB Is Support Assistant.
The rest are all < 7 MB

Where do you take this numbers from? If they are just storage memory it occupies then you should know that it doesn't make any difference whatsoever another 100MB of storage used.

I get the numbers from the add remove program menu. If you think they mean nothing , what would you advise removing .
Look at my post
