I get the numbers from the add remove program menu. If you think they mean nothing , what would you advise removing .
Look at my post

and tell me what to remove

Thanks
It does mean nothing. This is the hard drive storage space it takes up and unless it is a huge program (like a gig or more) it makes no difference. (Of course, the hard drive should not be full, but between 50% empty and 75% empty there's no real performance difference.)

I wouldn't remove HP things which are part of the system stuff (excluding HP Launch Box and HP On screen display which are just applications and if you are not using them you remove them.) If something the main thing is to prevent them from auto-starting (msconfig.msc).

I.R.I.C OCR is text recognition for scanning, if you don't use it you can remove it.

Is it significantly slower than when it was new? If so, you will either need to identify what slows it down, or you could try a factory reset or Windows refresh, reset or reinstall. If not, you could spend money on a RAM upgrade and/or upgrade to SSD.

I use a Bear Extender (through a USB port) to connect to Wifi. I recently have been experiencing a lag in my wireless mouse when connecting that way. It seems to be worse when the wifi is weaker although I'm not certain about that. Could it be that the Bear Extender is using draining power available to the USB ports? Is there a way to check?
How would any type of cable help for "wireless" interference?

When the signal is weaker is tries all kind of transmissions to get get the best one (simplified).
Isn't the point of ferrite core to limit interference? More importantly to your second point...Are you explaining why the problem is happening? Is there anything I can do to improve it?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I'm not very very familiar with ferrite core, but it is my understanding that it prevents interference to the wired transmissions so that outside interference shouldn't make problems for the signal in the wire.

I explained why it might be worse when wifi signal is lower. Like avromie7 said placing them at opposite sides (that is, the mouse receiver should be on the side that you hold your mouse and the wifi receiver at the side you are getting the wifi signal from) is the only suggestion I can give.

It is significantly slower than when it was new. In start up:Turning off Itunes, Apple Push , Rimm App launcher , and groove monitor plus removing Bonjour made it a little faster .

I will see how it works tuesday when I am running Streaming quotes and stuff, and if I am not satified with it, I will post back .
Thanks

How much RAM do you have?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Yes. It's a carbon copy of everything on the device.

Hi,
Two weird things just started happening on my Win 10 laptop:
1 - the backspace key does not work to back up a page; it gives me a message to press alt-arrow.
Google fixed this:  :D

Chrome is up to date, and I'm not seeing that fixed. Although I already got used to Tab + Left arrow.

If so, then it's not yet fixed... Although I believe they did it on purpose.
