I would say it is certainly better to go with Linux (maybe some Windows look-alike, like Zorin OS.)
Thanks. I think I'm going with Zorin Education. It has very useful programs built in. I was trying to test it out on a Windows 10 laptop but I couldn't find the option to boot from USB. Did a little research and found out I had to disable secure boot and turn on legacy boot in the BIOS.

Anyways I'm a little hesitant to totally delete Windows XP. Does it make sense to have a dual boot system?

Why not totally delete? You can anytime reinstall if you really really want.

(and you can do a full disk image before deleting with something like Macrium Reflect Free)

In Windows 7 and newer, slick start and type "on screen keyboard" (or just "osk")

Any way to transfer contacts from a dumb phone to an iPhone?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Does the dumb phone have bluetooth? Some of them will let you sync your contacts to another phone or to a computer.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

If the dumbphone has a sim card, maybe you can first transfer it to that. Then put it into your iPhone. Or into a different phone and then transfer it to iPhone.

If you don't specify the model of your dumb phone, you're only going to get vague responses.

Trying to convert a qbo file to qb desktop.
Need to use explorer. Problem is that files are only saved in a virtual location.
So when running the "restore" tool in IE ,it can't find the file.

How do I force IE to not use virtual locations?

The optimum connection I use inside my house is not connecting me to the internet. I can connect to the Optimum Wifi network and when I check the connection status it shows a strong and that data was transferred. Yet I can't access any webpages through the browser. If I go right outside my house I can connect and in fact use the internet. I think that while inside I’m connecting to a different optimum access point than when I’m outside even though it’s only 15 feet apart and that the access point I can connect to from inside is not connected to the internet.

Is there any way to choose the access point I connect to? They are both Optimum and I don’t see them as two separate networks?

With a good wifi manager maybe. You can try this one http://www.netsetman.com/en/wifi-wlan-manager it lets you connect based on the APs MAC.

Thanks! Someone mentioned maybe trying Wireshark....You familiar with that? Quick google sounds like it may be too advanced for me?

Definitely so, and is not targeted for this anyhow. Use this tool (or something like it) and report back.

Try running IE as admin
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Now this is weird. When I connect to the Access point outside it works fine; inside it is very unstable even though the signal quality is showing in the 80% range...
