I don't think giftcards are reloadable, and AFAIK they can't be used to withdraw cash at the ATM.

Update:
According to a conversation I had with an Amex CSR about my SPG 30K, he quoted me the total qualified spend towards $4.5k and it seems that money used in a pass reload, while did not earn starpoints, DID count towards qualified spend!

will update again if/when the total spend/bonus is completed/received

I don't remember if it was posted here or not, but Amex PASS ran a promo where they gave you $25 for setting up auto-reload for your PASS card. I set it up on four cards (it was officially limited to three ::), but I don't believe everything I read ;)) and got four $25 Amex GCs in the mail today. Gotta get myself some Square so I can cash those out :)

What a wonderful way to start the new week!

You mean loading? It only works for spend requirements (you don't get the regular miles for spending) and you can only unload $200 per card per week (unless they changed this recently).

BTW, this was HT Avid Reader. It was a targeted offer (at least according to information I saw posted online) and I don't remember being targeted, but I got it anyway.

Now they're offering to reimburse the cost ($4.95) of a MoneyPak (discussed in this thread) used to load these cards. Anyone know where I can buy a MoneyPak in NYC and they won't give me a problem paying with CC?

just received the final 20K SPG today after using PASS for the last few hundred dollars spend requirement.

I think the auto-load promo required the first load to post before 9/30. I've had 4 PASS cards for like a year now.
