just got off the phone with a rep about activating the card - he made sure to tell me that if i was not targeted for the pass50, i will be denied - ihad not asked him about it at all...essentially he said they know that the codes went all over the web and they will match accounts to the promo list they sent out - if you got the promo in the mail you will get the $, if not, they will email a denial...dont know when they started/will start this... or if he's just told to bluff...??(doubt it)

What kind of denial, denial of the card or just denial of the promo? I got my 2 new cards about 1 1/2 weeks ago after signing up with the promo code, and I was not targeted.

From what he told me anyway - thats what it sounds like.  I think i got targeted for the 25, but tried for the 50, b4 i had heard it might b denied, and asked him if id get the 25 if i was targeted for 25 but applied for 50 - and he claimed i wouldnt get it...

I got the $25 x3, then I got the fourth card (a little bit over a month ago) and I just got the $50.

and one of mine i got just an empty box with nothing inside, so they sent me another card. maybe if i'm bored i'll try to convince them to give me $50 since i didnt get the card by the deadline

no. i GOT the 50K already. some other spending from dec. is also pending. but the 1K base spend (late nov. same statement) is not showing up.

no. i'm doing it to cover the 1K for the promo at 1.25 cpd. that was accomplished. just wondering why i didn't also get the MR (extra 1K MR never killed anyone)

IIRC, my starpoints all posted, I never loaded my pass with my Amex plat, not worth the hassle imho.
