Happens to be I hardly took pictures on this trip. I only set up my tripod once, for example.

(Of course "hardly any pictures" means something very different for me than for normal people, but still :)).)

Sorry to hear. I'd send it into Sony before I buy a new lens. Even if they charge you for the repair, it should still be reasonable.

A bit off topic but my wife has a food Instagram account and takes pictures with her iPhone 7 Plus and is obsessed with the photography of food...what would be a good cheap gift to get her for this hobby? Example: props, book about food photography...
