The only way the CC wont cover is if the rental was not legal. now, once the rental agency gave you the vehicle there's nothing illegal anymore, the rental is still legal they just didn't charge you the underage. But thats hertz' prob.

It says black and white on the contract, that you represent that you are a member of the said CDP.
Fraudulent contract, possibly illegal, and therefore CC might not pay.

That is just the way I see it, I don't know that for a fact.
Though would be nice to find out if it does make it illegal or they would just take off the 11% disc. and charge underage.

+1, but even if a lawyer says one way or another, hertz's lawyers/ a court might possibly disagree.

What you said so far makes sense that technically they could void the whole contract but from the stories it seems they don't verify if you're actually USAA.

USAA doesn't offer anything. Hertz offers it to USAA members.

CC only pays for the car your driving not the other person
