Or at least before it was discovered...

True, but I didn't get any bites then, so I'm good either way. Plus it's been longer than 6 months.

Anyone know or has in the past purchased food from Awafi kosher in Singapore to vacuum pack, kind of what Pomegranate does?, I know it’s not pomegranate but we are flying from SIN to MLE.

Is Awafi pricey?

Yes, we did this exact thing for our MLE trip last September.  The food was really tasty and reasonably priced.  They also made sure to cook and freeze it ahead as I asked.  The only thing they didn't do correctly was to double wrap it with labels, for reheating.  They also put them in like plastic containers and some of them got squished and cracked in our luggage.  I ended up double wrapping them in foil myself, with the chef at the hotel and putting our own sticker labels the chef gave us, that the kitchen knew they weren't allowed to open.  Make sure to specficially request they they NOT be put in plastic Tupperware type containers and that they need to be put into aluminum tins, and double wrapped for oven warming.  I paid a little more and ordered via Koshwhere.com because I wanted to order online and have better recourse if there were issues (and I was glad I did and they refunded me part).  The Koshwhere.com menu also had a lot more options then they originally e-mailed me when I contacted them directly.  Bottom line, I would order from them again, they did deliver it completely frozen and the food was good but I would be VERY specific about how I wanted the food packaged.

Anyone wanna help me with finding the best place to stay for 2 days in SIN? I'm not staying for shabbos so it doesn't have to be close to chabad. I'm trying to find the best combination of value, location, and "luxury" but I'm a little overwhelmed.

Still trying to decide on a hotel, should I stay by Orchard Rd. or down by the bay?

Orchard Rd goes all the way down to the bay.

I meant by the shopping center where the GH is.

If you want to be closer to the restaurants and shul stay on Orchard Rd. That being said, we stayed at the Conrad and loved being able to walk to the stuff at the Bay AND the shul and Coffee Bean, because we were right in the middle.  Next time I've reserved at the New Hilton Garden Inn because it looks closer to shul and is only 20k HHonors a night (when I booked, it was 10k which is an insane redemption).

Conrad isn't showing any points availability and I can't get it to pull up C+P. Right now I'm leaning towards booking the St. Regis with 20k CSR a night and hope that they recognize my gold status.

Do you have a cert (or can you buy one) for the Intercontinental? We walked past and it is in a great, really central location. I'd hate to see you blow 20k Spg for just a normal city St. Regis...

The St. Regis actually looks pretty nice, I'd be booking with CSR though, not SPG.
