Also depends when you come in. Sometimes it can take 30-40 min to get their from the airport, other times it can take 20 minutes.

Assuming it's a weekday (Shallots closed for lunch on Sundays) and you get your luggage around 1:00pm, you should get to Shallots no later than 1:30pm and will likely be one of the only people there, which means you should get your food no later than 2:15, and back at the airport by 3:30.

How long would it take to get from O'hare to Midway in the early evening hours?
Anyone have suggestions for good cost options for a group of 5.
Any locals do this for a fee?

My bad - read too quickly.  Thought I had read "early morning".   Yes, early evening, i.e. until about 7pm, you're looking at closer to 90m.

Shallots Bistro

Soup:
We Started out with the Soupe Traditional $9 10/10

was full of pulled beef very good

Sushi:
Then we took the rice cracker as recommended here. $16 10/10 Out of this world
It had rice, avocado, smoked salmon, and a orange

Starters:
We got the rib tacos $28 10/10
It had guacamole salad on the bottom and the meat inside the tacos was very soft with a barbecue flavor

Argentinian Skewers $21 10/10

It was very soft, melted in the mouth

Beef Carpaccio $29 2/10 No one of our group liked it

It was really rare and cold and had a marinated taste to it

I'll post soon the rest
