So if you come to my office for a cleaning, you don't mind paying for the cleaning and then the hygienist's salary?

What is in a cleaning other  than the hygienist's salary?

i do tip but it is a stupid practice. that being said, now that it is set up like that, I should be allowed to choose how much.

exactly and I usually choose 20 percent and usually 20 percent after tax. So when they charge 18 percent pre tax that's a good deal for me.

Yah, just to penalize the places that auto add the tip
You're catching on
I personally like it when they add the tip. I don't think you're not gonna tip anyway even if the service was bad. It always comes out cheaper when they do it too.
There are times when I wouldn't tip. I don't want it to come out cheaper, if I was planning on tipping 20%+. If I wanted cheaper, I'd tip less in general.

Are there still any old time polish delis around where they slaughter the live rabbit and others on the spot?

The last I knew of, was Chicago Live Poultry. They may have closed though. I think they were on Western, somewhere south of Devon.

Back so soon? Emma's is pretty good, The Lincoln Cafe is great, but is located in a gas station, so takeout only. They also close at 3. Ken's is a great stop for Fleish. Great Chicago is nothing special, but shouldn't disappoint. Evita should definitely be a stop, it's different. Not appealing to all, but they have some things I really enjoyed.

Yup

Thanks. Kens menu looks very run of the mill. Evitas looks interesting. Is it crazy to bring kids there? or to Shallots?

Ken's is its own thing. The munu is run of the mill in  a sense, but the actual restaurant is interesting. Both Evita and Shallots should be accommodating when bringing kids. Especially in the earlier evening.

Just my last value-add to this thread for a while.

When to Evita the last week I was in ORD. First time there. We loved it. The ambiance and service was unique, and the menu was different and interesting. They try to sell you on the steaks, but why would you get boring old steak when you can get interesting new stuff.  Food was pretty good too.

Did you have their burger? I think it’s amazing on a pretzel bun and very juicy. The veal Milanese is also good as are a bunch of their appetizers. If you want steaks I would say def stick to shallots but evita is a great option

What's wrong with staying overnight?
