Take a car below $25k.

Pay with the world mastercard.

Have also an insurance with amex plat (that does NOT require you to pay with the card in order to be insured).

Make sure a tree crashes into you.

You pay the $20k+ you owes for wrecking the car.

You copy your proof of payment to the rental company, and forward the claim to both wmc and amex plat.

Reap the rewards.

Change the continent of your habitat.

Just kidding.

On the practical side, check the car thoroughly for scratches/dents and document it on the rental contract.
