International Shipping
« on: July 14, 2010, 09:55:30 AM »
Has anyone ever used an international shipping company for furniture/boxes for a move? I'd love to get some advise.

A stay-forever-fresh-radioactive-kosher-meal-box from FNJ to ICN.

Who can find me the shortest official flights between the 2? (Just for fun)

When you say official, I presume you mean non-charter flights.
Air Koryo (official carrier of DPRK) as well as Air China, only have 3 flights a week from FNJ so you're a bit limited.  One of them is Shabbos, which leaves you with 2.

Not sure when you want to go, but for Thursday 5 August here are the flights:
FNJ-PEK 10:30-11:30, Air Koryo
PEK-ICN 11:50-2:55, China Eastern, China Southern or Korean

If Air Koryo has similar prices to Air China, the FNJ-PEK leg will cost $39,715.

If you fly cargo (literally, not as in slang for economy) or you are just sending your "A stay-forever-fresh-radioactive-kosher-meal-box" by itself then Air Korjo has direct flights.
PM me if you need more info  ;)

Btw, I hope that whatever you were looking for a shutaf for has nothing to do with the above country...

$39k for this tix, that seems a lot.

The shutfas would require the other direction, if it doesn't work out.

What the ... ??

And $65K for the RT!

Seriously??
I think we've just found the best bang for your mile.
Air Canada charges 20k miles for Asia 1 to Asia 1.
That's a whooping $3.27 per mile.
That'll be hard to beat.

Did you check biz class.
You'll have to call Air China to find that out.
Since I don't plan on becoming a shutaf with you, nor do I think you'll pay for business class, I'm not spending time breaking my teeth to speak to a chinaman...its bad enough I spend so much time speaking to Indians...

China/india man?

Search on google (thought that's your strong point) aeroplan chart.

There it says how much is needed.

Asia 1 to Asia 1 is 30k in business using Aeroplane miles.
 I just don't see how,
Did you check biz class.
means amount of miles required as opposed to cost of paid ticket, to which I answered,
