What has this world come to? Cleveland sports fans on highs, Boston fans are the new Yankee fans, Cubs have a championship, modern day Royals have a championship.

At least the Browns still suck.

Do you look at this as the MLB record?

Lol, indeed.

Do you look at this as the MLB record?
Most consecutive wins, don't see how it isn't (well I could see, but obviously I don't agree). Most consecutive games without losing, of course not (that won't happen until rosh hashana).

You think MLB will make a special category for that?

I think the Giants should have an asterisk, yes.

Fair enough but hopefully they will win 27 and have the record according to MLB.

To set the record straight the tie was a rain shorten game. It was replayed as the custom back then. So there never was an official tie game in their 26 win streak. No different then needing so many innings to be an official game.

Don't shoot the messenger.  :)

Did they continue the game or replay it? If they replayed it who was winning at the end of an inning first?

Replayed whole game as if it never took place. Not sure who scored first.
ETA: They won 9-2 but can't find box score.

Right, need that box score. Because obviously if the other team was winning in the end of the 1st inning, according to current rules that is a loss ;)

Got it. Don't click the link unless you want to be disappointed.  ;)

Also the Giants never batted in the bottom of the ninth in the tie game.

Good researching.

Alright, I concede that their streak is counted rightfully so and the longest win streak.

I call it how I see it. And after seeing that I see the Giants as having the longest win streak unfortunately.

Of course it was a much different game back then with team manipulation and such by owners...

Even though I'm a Cubs fan, I live in Cleveland, and was at a Rubberducks and Indians game this year. I have more rights to comment on the streak than a Blackhawks fan
