Also, after about half the seats get sold the remainder are mostly in the nosebleed seats and most ppl nowadays prefer to watch on their big screen than go sit up high. High TV ratings should be part of the studies

Sounds like another ridiculous ESPN stat.
Not ESPN, but my version would be, per capita attendance + some sort of lower scale TV/Radio per capita audience

They took out many seats which makes it a smaller stadium but the average attendance number isn't a percentage of seats, it's a total. Besides, they need the rest of the stadium for the playoffs (especially when Cubs fans are bidding for the seats).
