Points for checks and cc processing

Hi all,
I'm looking for some expert adice.
I run a business that makes a lot of large payments that only accept checks. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can get something for writing those checks, or some better way to pay that could get me miles or something? It's frustrating to pay out around 10 to 15 grand a year and not get anything for it.
The second question I have is that I'm thinking of starting to accept credit cards (just one to many bounced checks). using paypal would cost me around 1000 bucks a year. Anyone know of anything cheaper than paypal. Let me add that most of the payments are recurring monthly payments like from a membership and actually swiping a card happens infrequently.

Dan I am also looking for a way to occasionaly accept CC charges from clients. Is Google checkout the best option for that, or is there anything else I should look into?
I think once you are set up as a business with a Tax ID# etc... Fidelity Payment Processing is supposed to be very competitive with card processing.

Noone addressed my second question. Any way to get points for writing checks? I think Cap One might have something. Anyone have any experiences to share?
I'm still shopping for CC processing as well. Got a good quote, put was asked to shell out 120 for PCI compliance and I don't even know what that is. My last company didn't require me to have it. Is it a new thing?
