It can be placed between any two words in the sentence, and each place you put it the sentence will have a different meaning.
What about the beginning and end?
I just found a new supply of forks!

What about the beginning and end?
Those don't make a proper sentence....

What about the beginning and end?
Beginning has a different meaning, end doesn't.

Btw there's nothing special about this sentence. The point is that the placement of the word only can change the meaning  the sentence.

You will often hear people say something like "I only want one thing" when what they really mean is "I want only one thing."

I don't like to be a stickler, but this one is pretty egregious.

From the wording in the fine print it seems that this wouldn't be valid on theyre big sales

This is a little OT, but iam dealing now with Chase about return protatction, its the biggest PITA i ever had with a compeny, not only do they request the item back (under $100) I have to pay shipping to TX , its about $30-$40 and they make u send all documents , and then some.                                            First they deneid it bcuz he says that they sew on eBay the he accepts returns, so i told tham that he dosnt if its open, so they said i have to send it proving that he dosnt takeopened items, so i told tham go on eBay & on the same plece where its says that he accepts returns it also says not if openad but NO I have to send it in. NEVER EVER USE CHASE for things you need RP-PP etc..
stop rant

Too much to handle for me.

I could care less
Sigh. I expected more from you, Henche. This is so disappointing. It's "I couldn't care less," not "I could care less." Here, let this grump explain it:

The purpose of grammar is effective communication.  Oftentimes, grammar police are slow to adapt and in fact hinder communication.

-.5. Grammar also serves as a signaling device (rightly or wrongly) for a number of other things, including one's education, background, and clarity of thought.

Does the semicolon go in or out of the quotation marks?
If you don't care why would you comment?

Same rules as any other punctuation - though how would a quote end with a semi colon?
