Author Topic: OfficeMax has 10 off 200+ of Visa GC (Read 5357 times)

OfficeMax has a deal going where you can buy 200+ of Visa Gift cards or Mastercard gift cards or others as well, and you get 10 dollars off there at the counter of the cost. So 2 x 100 gift cards is 211.90. Take off 10 dollars and it comes to 201.90 for 200 dollars of gift cards.

If you have a 5x card like Ink the calculation comes to:

1.90 / 1009.50 points for .00188 - which is nice

Versus 206.95 / 1034.75 = 0.0067 (which is the normal price for a 200 dollar GC at staples of OD)

THE MEGA con is you are left with TONS of 100 dollar GC - which are a pain in the neck to deposit

Dan - if you are reading this - does the Amex Platinum card have 5x for OPEN or some multiplier for OPEN at OfficeMax the store? This deal is only at the brick and mortar - this deal is NOT online.

Officially the limit is 35 per store, but my store did not have 35 100 dollar Visa GC. Only 1 promotion per transaction (in other words only 10 dollars back per transaction). I made him do 2 transactions to test it out and each time it was discounted by 10 dollars.

If you are lucky and your store has 200 dollar Visa GC - then BUY THEM all with Ink cards! Mine only have 100 dollar denomination - which is not bad

I'm not Dan, but since OPEN savings for OM is only online, I'm sure that's what he would say.

my store had $200 visa gift cards. but only one per customer officially

is the 35 per store enforced? i would like to go tomorrow again.

the discount didnt ring up automatically, they had to scan a barcode from a paper in a binder by the register.

manager was telling me about a guy that brought 8 to buy and was having issues when he wouldnt let him

WOW! Last week I bought 4K in cards. Each time 1K at a time. No forms to fill out - but all 100 GC

Did a WM GB run - man that is a long time on your feet - LOL!!!
