Where would you guys recommend looking for good furniture for cheap.

I am always scouring craigslist but wondering if anyone has any other ideas.

Thanks

I dont know if they have it in your area. When we were first married, we bought a whole package from a place called Cort furniture. They are a furniture rental place and after renting out once or twice, they sell it and it looks almost brand new. We got a DR table, 6 chairs, coffee table, 2 end table, a bedroom set consisting of a dresser with mirror on top, 2 night stands, and 2 headboards...all for like $1500.00 delivered.

Garage/Estate/Moving sales are also good if you have the patience to hunt through a bunch to find treasures.
Got our dining room set with very comfortable chairs for $150, and a great like new leather recliner and couch for dirt cheap as well.

Definitely works for great starter furniture!

I'm looking for a large dining room table (including leaves, minimum of 120", prefer more), decent quality, don't mind used.

Aside from craigslist, any suggestions?

Any way to find good estate sales in the NY/NJ areas where all the good stuff isn't bought out immediately?

Also looking for dining room table. Want at least 90 with leaves, prefer 105. 72 without is fine. The stuff in big box stores is boring (R&F, etc.) Macy's is too traditional. Went to Huffman Koos but didn't have leaves on the nice one. Any ideas?

You can get from the Jewish stores but your best bet is craigslist. Many ppl have dining room sets that they used once for Christmas in 1987. Many I know have done very well on those. Be patient and keep checking.

What price range are you looking at? Would you like something modern and clean, but very classy at the same time like this?

Regal furniture in Brooklyn. About 15k for the whole set with 8 chairs. You can choose different chairs. For example, something like this.

IMO, way nicer than the default chairs. Blue velvet would go very nicely with this.

Way over my process range unfortunately. Perhaps if another sams club offer comes around...

Recomendation for store that can get me raymour and flannigan furniture at lower prices? I was in one of these small stores in NJ and they said all the big guys stuff is available out of their catalogs that they can order. I'm thinking maybe the heimishe places can get good prices.
