I know that the NetSpend is a serious headache - but from what I read you can turn the PayPal into a simple CC - and not pay the fee or is this a YMMV kind of thing?

Can this be used just like MC GC? Any special instructions to be able to load Bluebird or cash out on Amazon Payments?

I'd assume it could be loaded onto bb at walmart, and I think you can load $500, any CONS of getting ONE of these??

Just checked it out last night and I noticed that the besides for the purchase fee of $4.95 there is monthly fee of $4.95 and the first month is deducted within 36 hrs of purchase. Doesn't seem like there's any gain. The $10 extrabucks just covers that cost.

If there's no way around the 2nd $4.95 it would still be better than VR or a gc, by a few $. With netspend visa there was a way to avoid fees after purchase...
Anyone know if there are any cons with buying one of these? (one each time CVS gives $10 EB for buying it)

I bought one and it not worth it. The $10 in Extra bucks is offset by the $10 in fees they are charging for the card.

I missed the fine print part about the monthly $4.95 fee charged within the first 36 hours after activation.

Don't understand... If you loaded $500 onto card and the fees were offset by Extra bucks, you're still ahead of VR by $3.95... Also, if used immediately wouldn't you stop the $4.95 fee?

I loaded $500 onto the card. At the counter they charged me $4.95. Total at CVS was $504.95.  Then you need to go online to activate the card which I did. Then they hit me with with the $4.95 Monthly Service fee. As of now I have spent $509.90 for this card.

With the $10 in extra bucks all I made is 10 cents :(

Assuming the monthly service fee is deducted from your card balance (how else would they charge you?), you did not pay $509.90 for $500.00 of usable funds. You paid $9.90 in fees for only $495.05 of usable funds. You spent a total of $504.95 but $9.90 went towards fees.

With the $10 in extra bucks all I made is 10 cents :(
Don't forget the miles you earned are worth $

I still had to come up with $5 from my pocket to cover the $504.95 charge to my CC bill.

VR would have been much cheaper.

In the past many have frowned upon the Paypal Mastercard. But for 4 days CVS is offer a crazy extrabucks deal

From November 24 - November 27 Spend $150 on a  PayPal Reloadable Prepaid Debit MasterCard and get $50 in extrabucks.

The hassle may be worth it just for the $50 in extrabucks
