Will ATT/VZW give you the same phone discount as a new customer and your Sprint ETF?

If they promise money toward the etf, called discretionary sales discount, that doesn't touch the phone price at all.
Furthermore, sometimes they are not able to offer a credit on your bill so they disguise it as an additional credit towards the phone.

Try them. The will refund your etf if you go back to them but you will have to open a different plan.
