Looking at a flight TLV-FRA-IAD on LH in biz. I know the seats to FRA are not really biz but what about FRA-IAD? The LH chart shows the flight 416 is not yet the new biz, but how bad is the old biz on that route?
fyi chart is here  http://www.lufthansa.com/de/en/Business-Class-Product
If it's a 747 800 it will have the new business, quite a nice plane.

It's A330-300, so not new, how bad is the old compared to UA or LY?

Yes must sleep after being up all night to make 5am flight and economy seat to FRA. It's uncomfortable because not lie flat? Worse or same than LY?

Are your sure? I think KLM alternates.

Some comments:
I see TLV - Rome for as low as around $170 RT, and cheaper if you can leave on shabbos (via the use of many shinuim). However, besides shabbos, there is only 1 other weekly flight.

TLV - Geneva has very good outbound fares, but high return fares. Can probably build an itin for <$250 if you can make the dates work.

TLV - Manchester can be had for under $225.

TLV - Basel has good prices in both directions for around $175 total.

Keep in mind that many of these prices aren't for the summer months (EasyJet doesn't show availability out that far), and they are only this low when booking a few months in advance.
