You can book it, but by the time the flight go to JFK your ticket would be voided.

so u know for sure you have to leave from there first? but on way back can walk out of jfk and not continue

have a question if anybody would know if I see a flight from Washington dc to TLV with a stop the stop is JFK can I start out from JFK and skip the start out of DC ? I don't see why not

That's a huge downside, but as long I can do it on one ticket (so airline is responsible in the event of delays) its still a viable option.
