Still a little premature to celebrate, but if this takes off and becomes widespread, I might look into this when I go to TLV and travel light.

Some foreign language sources here.

Transavia starting 2x week seasonal AMS-VDA service in November (subsidized by ministry of tourism).

https://www.themarker.com/consumer/tourism/1.6009031

ASL France starting 2x week CDG-TLV flights with aggressive pricing. Schedule is currently only for July, but they expect to extend it.

http://www.globes.co.il/news/article.aspx?did=1001231118

XL Airways (which up until now only published point to point fares) announced its first connecting fare for TLV-NYC via CDG (A330).

See the date from this post https://blog.wandr.me/2017/09/xl-airways-connect-new-york-city-tel-aviv-israel/

I guess I missed that one, but the French article has additional information such as prices starting at $635 RT including 1pc of luggage (could that be a catalyst for some of the low summer fares we are seeing NYC-TLV?).

MNL-TLV possibly coming.

http://business.inquirer.net/249785/pal-likely-open-direct-flight-tel-aviv

Definitely a significant market for such a route IMHO. Lot's of Phillipinos work in Israel (it's the term used for a caregiver), religious pilgrimage can be a huge market, and I can see Israelis flying there for business or as a stopover on the way onward to the South Pacific.

Trying to book LY in Y:
11/18 BOS-TLV
11/25 TLV-BOS

Showing as $849 in Google Flights Calendar (as it does for many other date options in that general time period), but for this particular date, when I click through to elal.com or OTAs, it jumps to $1000.  Is it some kind of "phantom" fare?  Is there any way to get the $849 fare?
Maybe one of our TA's out there could help? If so, please PM me. Thanks.

The problem is the return (no more U class available), it can take some time to update on GF.

The only option to the Far East without a hop to AMM is Cathay.
To Europe you have basically Iberia and BA with YQ. Most flights to EU don't have real business so usually better off with revenue in coach.

That's why I listed those 2 as opposed to the other options. He asked for the best, not all. The others you mentioned aren't OneWorld.

Thanks.
I know I can connect in Europe on LH, LX or TK for under $900. I was asking specifically the nonstop in LY.

What is the chance that LY will release more U class seats? Or is more likely that the G class seats will also disappear and the price will jump even higher?
