I would call managers at the hotel before calling hyatt.

is a kosher breakfast something that the Hotel Must supply at their expense? or that till now when you asked the Hotels didnt question it but simply supplied them?

If they dont have to supply it at their expense then I understand asking about it and hoping they will offer to supply it in lieu of what they offer everyone else. But if they instead send an email like the Hyatt in BA then personally I wouldnt take it up the ladder too far, maybe 1 other person but not corp for sure Unless its Hyatts policy that each hotel Must supply each Diamond a breakfast of any special meal

I just spoke with the secretary of the GM (he wasn't in or so she claimed) she said she will get back to me.
Good luck, keep us posted.
Tell them you've received comped kosher meals at other hyatt hotels.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

lol did that, I also made the airline food comparison to them I told her even the airlines have the decency to respect a request even though it might cost them a bit more

well I got a response

Greetings from sunny Buenos Aires!

I am aware you have contacted Mr. Alvarez Campillo, General Manager, regarding your request for Kosher breakfast.

It is a pleasure to inform you that it will be offer as a courtesy for this stay at the Hotel.

I will need to kindly ask you, to inform me your choice from the menu previously sent in order to request it to the outside catering.

Looking foward to welcome you to Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires!

Kind Regards,

thanks Dan, and others for the "encouragement"

Can I ask -- are you entitled to the free kosher breakfast for being a Diamond member, or would a Hyatt gold member be entitled also? I would like to book a reservation at the PH BA and would like to know what to ask for. I am a Hyatt Gold member with 50k points.

It's for being a diamond member.

I am travelling to Argentina with my wife and adult son at the end of December 2011. Does anyone know of a travel agent in, or who is intimately familiar with Argentina who can hep with arrangements. We are shomer shabbat and kashrut and do not speak spanish. We need someone to book hotels, tours outside and in Buenos Aires and Iguasu Falls. Any other suggestions regarding the above would be appreciated. Also places to buy food and restaurants.
We are more comfortable with the phone so if you can provide a phone number we would be happy to call, otherwise e-mail. Our phone number in L.A. is 310-201-4786.

thanks
joeig

So my wife and I are hitting Machu Picchu, Easter Island, and Buenos Aires this June. I've got hotels booked for the first two parts of the trip, but I'm looking for some advice on the BA portion.
We have mid-tier status with both Hyatt (Platinum) and SPG (Gold), and we're deciding between 3 different hotels and payment options and I was hoping someone here could give us some advice. The 3 possible hotels on our list are the Park Tower, Buenos Aires (SPG - on Points + Cash), the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center (On Points or Points + Cash), and the Park Hyatt (Hyatt - on points).
The first 2 seem to occupy the same basic property, and I just was wondering if there is enough difference between them to justify shelling out more for the Park Tower. The Park Hyatt looks amazing and so that is always a good option, but until the bonuses clear on both of our Chase Sapphire Preferred cards, we're a little short on points for the full 5 nights. Perhaps it makes sense to split the trip up between two different hotels?

In terms of shabbos, which are better located for walking to shul/meals and for just walking around and sightseeing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I believe your best bet for Shabbos is the Sheraton with this Chabad House about a mile away from it.
If you like walking and are willing to walk about 3 miles you have other options.
