Credit line Amounts
« on: July 29, 2010, 12:42:05 AM »
i am looking for a credit card that will open with a $10k Credit line. does anyone know how to go about that?
obviously it will depend on Credit score as well as Income. but does anyone have experience with different banks?
(1 friend reports that on all his AMEX cards he got $5K each. on chase he got $20K. another friend got $8K from chase)
anyone have experience? advice?

I got from citi a student card (basically my first card) a $4,000 credit limit. a couple months later I got from sovereign only $2,000.
I also recall (dont remember forsure) that s/o on this site once mentioned that citi bank is generous on their credit limits.
Maybe try them.

try getting an increase on a credit card you have for a while.
If u can get a card on a company name you should be able to get over 20
my amex, citi and chase are over 10k but they all started at 2-3 initially
