@drago, the chabad in phuket did charge us for delivery it was 1000 baht. one night we went there it was 800 each way, but it was also a night out. so u take ur pick. (also when we ordered in, we 'ordered for 30 ppl' as the chabad guy said to us the next night. :)
Any chance that they'll deliver to Khao Lok?

i dont know if they have other drivers, but it didnt seem like it was an issue. i have my taxi from the airports number if u want. he was great and so cheap. he wanted to take us to the other elephant farm and this whole day excursion for like 500 baht (or something like that). I would take the drivers contact information, thanks. Would you say there is a "benefit"  to using the guy next to Chabad for a driver? Does one speak a better english?

in terms of metzios, i got myself a new watch :D and i got my neice a kipling bag (looks actualy real). great clothing. thanks to moish, (who i couldnt get what he asked for :( but my wife got a few knock off clothes and jewlery. the painings as dan said look great (we didnt have a good picture) but i got his contact info and he will ship a paining to america for 300 baht (10$) so its just also about getting contacts.
By "great clothing", do you mean custom?
If you can send me the contact info i would appreciate it.

a side thing, someone booked for me the room in LM CM and i was not on the reservation, they told us that we cant go to the lounge for some reason. the morning after we got there i was exploring the 20th floor bec dan wrote theres a pool up there (which i didnt find) but i found the 3 floor lounge and i walked in and she didnt even ask me my room number or name, and this happened every time from then on. so it seemed once i was up there i was good. (no alcohol except from 6-9).
Any real benefit to having someone with a Platinum status book for you? What would be the additional perks?
TIA

yahalom spoke enough english to get by. so does most taxi drivers i felt, or tuk tuks. theres really not much to convey, u just tell him where u want to go and he'll take you there, and he'll show you places on the way.

so the taxi's name is
Mr. Jaran Heebtong
081-9983786
(his card is writtin out on recipts. he had at least 100 of these in the front of his car. which was a very comfortable highlander)

i dont have any clothing guys number, being i was not interested. i bought 5 suits from the macys 89$ alfani sale. and im fine with my 19$ JAB.

and about the hotel, 100% it helped an enormous amount. i always say a very underrated part of a trip is the soda or water expense, esp when its hot and ur at the pool etc... if you take a soda from the mini bar its 3-4$ but if you go upto the lounge its free. that means u have as many sodas you need btw the hrs of 8am-9pm. plus u can always take cans or beers back to your room. thats one. second, i got a huge suite which made our trip so relaxing as well, rather than being so cramped up in a room. as dan mentioned it was the corner room, and has a huge bathtub overlooking the mountains. it has a walk in closet as well, and that huge room. i completely forgot about breakfast (only fruits anyways) but i should email the one who booked and tell him we never had :). we also got a fruit platter bec it was our honeymoon.

bad picture. i was switching between my slr and the junk elph, its old by now

and view from the lounge

...we stayed at the pavilions. damaxer and andrew both recommended it. i would say its a non-cheesy version of cove. Much nicer and not fruity and weird.

Great TR.
Is there a reason you did Phuket over the Maldives?
I know you didn't but is it possible to do this trip with a kid?

personally i cant imagine doing a lot of it with a kid. but ppl do it, and i was prepared to do it too. its able to be done but on a much diff way, less doing and more relaxing.

i didnt even think about MLE, though now u put it in perspective that i shouldve :) but i have a feeling it wouldnt have fit into our budget, or just the timing

What did you do that wouldn't be possible with a kid? My wife is too scared for tiger kingdom anyway so she can babysit outside.

i didnt say cant i just meant its very hard it seems like.

deff doable. just cant imagine it being as relaxing. diapers, eating, crying, sleeping.
for one thing, its def harder to walk thru the night market, its def harder to hold a child on mae se rides, or ideas like that.
also no phi phi, or any of those type trips as well

Did you end up getting the picture? How was it? Paid him upfront?
