Do you know enough that you are willing to take personal Achrayus? If not, how can you make such a statement?
Vadai you have to ask when you go what you can eat and what you can't. But to book a room (which is what this thread is about) knowing there will be food there, that's no shaila. You have to ask the mashgiach...

But how can you make a blanket statement that food is 100% kosher, and no problem  with shemita? Are you a rov willing to take personal Achrayus for those statements?

I think you misunderstood me a second time.
The thread is whether we should go to this hotel, and if we can eat there. The answer is Yes. 100%
What you'll find (btw there are local restaurants that are mehadrin as well) depends on what they are serving. Sometimes most dishes are Beis Yosef sometimes they not. sometimes when they have a big shabbos they use a better hecsher. That will be on a case by case basis. but will there be something you can eat? I'm pretty certain of it. And in terms of shemitah, when I went there both times, everyone between the mashgichim and the secular Israelis were very Machmir about it.

Again, before you arrive, call the mashgiach. He will make sure there is food of your liking (hecsher) there for you. Once you arrive, you must also ask the mashgiach what you can and cannot eat.

Does this clarify it for you?
If not, I'll just assume you work for Hilton or have ESL.

-1 I was told by a few prominent rabbanim that it is not not chalav yisroel! As well as a few other problems....
Have you called the mashgiach yet to confirm this? When I was there they said it was chalav Yisroel.

I booked a free sign up night under my name and then added someone else to the reservation. They told me that he can check in but I have to be there at some point with ID or they will charge the full rate.
Is that true? How does everyone book free nights for other people?

I think if you call up marriott you can change the certificate to his name. At least that's how it works when booking for someone else with points

I went using someone else's Marriot points and had no issues at all. They were very nice and gave me upgrade. (as usual )

Anyone stayed both here and the TA Hilton to give a comparison of an overall stay?  I'm sure the Ritz has better service and decor but from online the immediate area, views, pool and restaurant choices seemed maybe even a small step down from what I experienced at the Hilton.  I'm HHonors Diamond and will get breakfast, lounge access with free food and drinks all day and probably a nice upgrade at the Hilton.  I  would love to try out this Ritz also but am just wondering how the whole experiences compare.

Was curious to see how much a night went for and it showed me 100k per night.. does that make sense?
