Just got a TU score from a Barclays denial, and it's much lower than the FAKO Transunion I got.
One reason written on the letter for my score was that I have a delinquent account. I had a Target card a few years ago, and was late two months on a payment. I paid it off, and about a year later Target closed the card since I never really used it.
My question is whether it's worth it to try and reopen the card so that the delinquent account will no longer be reported- does it work like that?

No.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Pulls are a few points. I have no idea how many or what CR they pulled from.
Most banks don't pull TU. And note the "usually" in my statement.

TU gets pulled the most by me.

Hence the 'usually'...
Most DDF members don't live in Poland :P

No.
Why not? How long does a delinquent account stay on the CR?

Wow, okay thanks.
Google "goodwill letters". You can send this to have them take it off your report. It does work sometimes.

Thanks!
If you write the letter make sure you take responsibility for the mistake. They have all the power and make sure you let them know it. You have to stroke them everyway you can without over doing it. It is a fine line.

I hear that. It doesn't make it make it any more likely to have them approve it if I'm an existing customer?

Not sure I understand but I am talking about a GW letter to get an account removed from your CR.

Sorry I didn't explain, I was referencing an earlier post.
It's a delinquent account on Target card, and I didn't know if sending them a goodwill letter to have the delinquency removed would have a greater chance of approval if I reopen the card with them first before sending the letter (they closed it about a year and a half after the delinquency because I wasn't using it).

OK now I get it. IMHO if you can get it opened again that would be better.

I was recently accepted to plat biz, spg biz, blue sky, discover it. On the discover card it provided a CS from transunion ( about 40 point difference from barclay online) but i didnt see anything on the amex cards papers. I remember seeing dan post something about the score being listed somewhere in the welcome envelope...is it only specific amex cards? where can i find it?

Is it any true that not using a CC for a long time is not good for your credit score and therefor it pays to close a CC that is not being used, or is it one of the credit myths and you should keep it open even you're not using it, so you have a larger CL??
You can say what you think when you think what you say.
