So what am I supposed to do, one of the jewish publications are writing about credit scores today, and they are warning to close all your CC that you are not using.... Because it is gonna hurt your credit....

Length of credit history is definitely part of your credit score so don't close it if it's one of your oldest cards

. All you need to do is use it once, and it reappears with your original opening date.

If you have a thick file it does not matter what you do with them. If you think those big CL's will hurt you then go ahead and close them.

I just got an update by Barclays that my FICO score changed- up 14 points since last month! Thanks to Dan and everyone for helping me learn how to both get more points and improve my credit rating in the long run!

...but why let such a nice score go to waste? DW is getting the travel bug so it is time to rack up some points/miles. I can knock out the Amex Plat/Citi Exec spend in my sleep.
