Not sure if this is what you want, but you can add a picture to a comment.

Insert a comment, go to format (ctrl+1), choose the color drop down under the "colors and lines" tab, choose "fill effects," then the picture tab and "select picture" to brows your computer for the picture.

there are a few online options, or a free trial of nitro pdf

I've tried them both and neither one was perfect

You can download a free ocr software.  If you own a scanner or multifunction, you may already have the software installed on your computer.

BTW just realized that you can convert from a PDF to word or excel for free using word... When opening file, make sure that word is open on your desktop, -right click, -open with, -word. It converts!
Never knew this.

I use IDEA but it's pretty expensive.

Acrobat has a function to do it but it's not very accurate.
Another option for a small PDF is to highlight the text with your cursor and copy paste it into Excel.
Keep in mind that it's not wise to use an online converter with sensitive data.

I got the acrobat service a few weeks ago (~$10). They had a data breach or something where my CC could have been compromised so they refunded the fee and gave me a free year of experian credit watch with insurance etc.
