Has anyone here ever fought a ticket for a "dirty sidewalk?"
"Court" date on before the ECB tomorrow.

Any tips?

Hard to believe.
Others have told me that they've at first ignored them, and then had penalties pile on.

On the fine is written "Maximum penalty: $300, " so I assume that is the maximum...

But please find out from him what he does, interested to know.  I do have more than one ticket to fight.  Been fought in the past, but in Bloombito's city, these courts have gotten a lot tougher they say.

What happens if I do not show up to my hearing?
If you do not show up to your hearing, ECB will find you in default. This means that you will be found responsible for the violation and you will have to pay an additional fine. A default may lead the City to enter a judgment against you in civil court.

I have a bunch of boxes outside for garbage pickup.
It started raining, and the box fell apart, thus causing a small mess.
I then got a ticket in the mail, for not having the boxes properly put out.
Anyway to fight this ticket, do they really expect everyone to be watching over their garbage all day ? Utter BS.

That's NYC, I've seen worse than that.
Officially there is laws when they are allowed to issue such tickets, people put camera's to be able to catch them on their lies either by wrong description or wrong timing etc.

My Ticket said "Dirty Area"

"Large accumulation of accumulated cup napkin paper bag piece of paper tissue wrapper in the driveway."
They were on a rampage last week!

Maybe 10pcs of dirty pcs of paper goods including a McDonalds cup all NOT Mine that blew into my driveway.
20 FT into my property away from the sidewalk!!!

You can Fight it online which I did with Photos and a long letter and a receipt from my Gardener showing I paid and he cleaned it 5 days earlier!

waiting on dissuasion still.

Yup. I have a friend who put in cameras just for that reason.
Got a ticket for ONE napkin outside his house, that the wind blew in.

Even though the 'maximum' fine is $300, the usual mail-in penalty is  written there, too.  I think $100.
