I saw in the fine print that the one year anniversary credit towards a free night is only good for Category 1-4, which is why I was confused. Do you know if I'd be able to use points to upgrade that to the Category 5 come the 1 year mark?

You mean $50, that's only if you book a room when you applied for the card.

but on friday someone on the chase united explorer chain was saying you can get 100

So I want to get this card. But don't really feel comfortable with having a time frame in which I have to use the bonus. (Especially since it's not limited, so it shouldn't be wasted on anything but the very best hotel available)
At most, I'll have 17 months from applying. (13 months +1 month extension + 3 months, if I complete spend on the last day)
Is there a points offer available? Are these certificates sell-able?

Has anyone recently got hyatt to give them points for their sign up bonus nights. I have the two nights expiring soon. I have heard in the past that they may give points. I am not interested in selling them? If no points are given, can the expiration date be pushed back by several months.

I may have had a 30-day extension. But no points.

applied for hyatt and csp about 2 weeks ago. got CSP on Tuesday, but no hyatt yet. Worth a call to get status? If so, what's the Hyatt CS number?

Don't know, but why do you need it? Just call the regular recon number.
