According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

But one still needs 10 years as a Diamond as well, correct?
No, that's a common misconception.
You just need to have had 10 years as a Hyatt member.  You could have been non-elite for all those years, once you get 1 million base points (and have been a member for 10 years) you earn lifetime diamond.

If you have a CO PP card get the Hyatt Platinum that the PP card gets you before applying for the Hyatt card.

Very appealing with the suite upgrade, those are more than $1000 rooms! Here's a question- if I have the PP card and my wife is an authorized user, can she get the Hyatt Platinum and then I'll apply for the Hyatt card on her account? I already have 5 Chase cards, just got the latest one last week, and she has only two.

It seems like points from spending are posting as "base" points (and not "bonus" points)
This means they should qualify towards earning lifetime Diamond status.
So whats the best method to spend up a million dollars on a credit card?

Nope

Ok, thanks, and how does one activate the Hyatt Platinum for the primary cardholder. I looked around and people report having some difficulty.

Didn't Hyatt stop all status matching, only giving challenges in limited circumstances?

The suite upgrades can't be used at a few properties, Sydney one of them :(

Why don't you just call Chase?

Never used to match them and I don't believe the other hotels do.

That might be difficult considering the following clause:
"Only One Available"

Dan, I'm surprised that you still haven't promoted the card on the main site. I see you put it on top of the page with all the adds, but you haven't written about it to promote it as you have done here on the forums. I'm sure you can use the extra revenue. ;D

I'm actually slightly wary of the link tracking revenue back to DansDeals because of the way they're marketing it.
Has anyone been approved for the card yet after clicking on the link yet?
http://www.dansdeals.com/go/Hyatt/

I'm still within 30 days of my CO card, can't apply yet, but I will soon.

Questions:

1. Are the nights and upgrades transferable?
2. Will the status and benefits go over to an AU?

I've now got Hyatt Diamond and am wondering how useful the 2 upgrades to a suite would be for me. I wouldnt spend $200 on a room in order to get upgraded to a suite. Is there a possibilty of booking a not so expensive room, say in the tri state area and upgrading it? I looked at hyatt.com but could not come up with anything. (Otherwise, I'd have my wife apply, she has only two chase cards, I have 5-6). Any ideas?
