According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

So:
-Call Priority Club to get Platinum over the phone based on telling them you are top-tier at another hotel program.
-Fax a screenshot of Priority Club Platinum to Hyatt to get Hyatt Diamond
-Get SPG to match Hyatt Diamond to SPG Platinum
spg doesn't match without a printout of your stays...   not gonna work to match from trial diamond status.

You won't get a card for the Hyatt trial.

Canceling Chase Hyatt
« Reply #88 on: April 05, 2011, 06:16:48 PM »
I picked up the Chase Hyatt card at the end of February and used it on my recent trip abroad. Now that I have my 2 free nights in my GP account will they get taken away if I cancel the card before redeeming the free nights?

(This is not practical just yet because I have plenty of time before needing to cancel, but wondering in case I want more Chase cards in the future and I max out)

Doubtful. Unlike Amex MR, the Hyatt account is with Hyatt and the CC account is with Chase.

I've asked this question before on the forums, not sure which thread though. IIRC dan said I won't lose it.

Yes, you should get suites and you are able to use them even after!

Okay, got this one too from your link. Not instant approval (since this is my 5th chase in 12 months) but not too hard either, i called them and they did not ask me to close any other cards like they did previously. I do use chase as my main card besides having a good score.

So I know to use the two free nights anywhere, wondering if I can get use out of the two free upgrades (since I'm Platinum already.) Apologize that I asked this before, but I don't usually spend alot on hotels, in the $100 range, are there types of Hyatts where a regular room can be had for that and the hotel has suites? East coast area. Tried to search but could not get anywhere. Thanks

Look on the weekends for lower rates.  Any Hyatt but Hyatt Place will have suites.

It'd always be helpful to call both Chase and Hyatt to see the consequences. BTW, do you hold elite status in Hyatt?

Nope. Only platinum as a result of the card.
