For efficiency, the 'Pages' selection at the bottom of the page should be on the right side, not the left side.

I wish there was a way to implement that the right and left keyboard arrow keys would move to the next/previous pages.

It would be really nice if we could have links to "Show unread posts since last visit." and "Show new replies to your posts." at the bottom of the page too.
On touchscreen its a breeze. I touch the top of the screen & it flies up to the top of the page.

Also for efficiency, the 'Show unread' and 'Show new' should be on the right, parrallel to where the cursor finishes when raising the bar on the right.  This would be ABOVE the Search rectangle (which may have to be moved down a bit).

you can also press the Home key. But still.

Oh yes!  I wonder how many minutes of wasted time (annoyance) I've spent in right barring to get to the top of EVERY page in EVERY thread EVERY time I go on ddf EVERY day?

Maybe my comment belongs here:  http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=32453.0

ETA Alternatively if it is easier to program, we could have a button on the right side, a third of the way up, that propels the page up to the top.  Proboards has this as an extension.

Why don't you press the home button, to get right to the top.

That's what I do. But when your hand is on the mouse from scrolling, it's easier not to move it.

I generally press the beginning of the breadcrumb list and then it reloads to the top of the home page.

So do I, but it's an extra click

#firstworldproblems I think it's still easier then moving from the mouse to the keyboard.

Why can't a search be 1 character long ? Adding on a 2nd character doesn't always help.

I don't remember offhand but I've had it several times. Once I was looking for a specific thread & all I could remember was that it had a single digit in the title.

Also applies to 2 character searches as well.
