I was using 6 different accounts at one time but all have since been shut down and I haven't monkeyed with

They seem to shut people down in batches.

was doing this for a while for myself and my wife. Got a few warnings from Paypal was able to appeal then out of the blue they closed down both accounts a few months ago and now we need to wait till March to tak eout our money that was left in the account. You need to be very careful. Just saying...

Its not really out of the blue if they sent you a few warnings. Just sayin.

file a complaint with cfpb they will unfreeze the money. But yes they give you 2 strikes and on the third you are out!

If my friend owes me money, and he buys these, sends me the money through Paypal, and then I withdraw it to my bank, does that still trigger shutdown type behavior or is that more legit?

If you do it a few times it's ok. More than that it will trigger shutdown

Only have 1 data point but has 7/11 stopped allowing buying Paypal or any VGC's with credit cards? The clerk let me swipe my card but the system clearly rejected it and he said all 7/11's have become cash only. Anyone else have success?

PPMC from CVS is hard coded for cash only.
