From Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to city center takes about 11 minutes by IC train (intercity), and 22 minutes by S-Bahn (urban rail).
If you want to go to Worms, to see the Rashi Synogogue (11th century, but rebuilt in 1961) - it would be about about an hour and
10 minutes by train. By car it's about 45 minutes if there no traffic. If you are flying on to a non-Schengen country, e.g. the US,
ensure that you arrive back at the airport about 90 minutes prior, as you have to go through passport control, and a couple of security
clearances.

Also, note, Rashi was buried in Troyes, France, albeit the exact location in the cemetery is unknown. Troyes is about 500km away from Frankfurt.

That should all take under 5 minutes, as he mentioned he is flying F. The FCT has its own passport control and security.

Its Sohar, if you ever see a meal from Stogel I would really consider it twice before eating it!
Why? its kosher l'Pesach all year round, my Rav said I could leave it around my dog when he has a fast day

Any recommendations for a hotel for Sunday night (3/26) preferably near the Airport, needs to be close to a minyan shachris have a flight out at 11am.

Also Is there any kosher food to be had in the airport area or at one of the lounges? (*G and PP)

Am Stadion 11, 64720 Michelstadt, Germany.
I did it last year on a 6 hr stop over.
Landed , rented a car (porche, with LH F) about an hr each way, plus 1 hr there, even had a minyan mincha. Then went straight to FCT, where they took the car for return.

Depends on where you are flying to. Within Europe, 30 minutes before is sufficient for Business Class.

Hi,

We will be in Frankfurt for a 9 hour layover on 8/15/17.
Any suggestions for a driver to take us to kevorim?
Are kosher restaurants reliable?
If we rent a car where can we get the keys to kevorim -we would like to go to Baal Shem Michelstat and would need the keys there too.

Any other suggestions.

Thank you

I don't remember ever needing keys for Ba'al Shem Michelstadt in the recent years, and the kever is visited daily, as whenever I am there, I always see lit candles.  The Yahrzeit is on 3rd of Tishrei,  (Fast of Gedaliah), and during that week draws tons of visitors. If the gate would be closed, it's easy to jump over, or one can get the keys from the public swimming pool office which is situated right opposite the cemetery.

Also to see in Michelstadt, is the Synagogue, Mauerstraße 19. Also Lichtigfeld Museum Mauerstraße 7 (former synagogue). The house where the Ba'al Shem lived is at Erbacherstraße 12.

BH I'm now down to a four hour layover. That is too short to go to michelstadt I would assume?

It's a 75km (47 miles) drive from the airport and should take an hour at the most to get there.

for those looking for sightseeing & not for kevorim, there is a big zoo, not far from the shul in Frankfurt.
