Question:I met my spending minimum on a amex delta card and then had to do a return which took it back under the spending minimum. I already got my miles bonus. Is amex likely to cause issues? The minimum was 2k and i am now down to 1800.
Yes. They will freeze your account at best clawbacks at worst
Try it and report back. heres the email i originaly got from them, but as pointed out before they never actually reversed it.Dear M*********, Thank you for contacting Starwood Preferred Guest regarding duplicate accounts. We appreciate your loyalty to SPG and I hope this email finds you well. Per your request, I have located your referenced SPG accounts. Before I noticed them to have different first names, I merged them. This was an error which will be corrected and reversed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are unable to allow combination of individual accounts, whether for spouses' accounts, or for other members of your household. However, we do allow unlimited Starpoint transfers between accounts of members in the same household for redemption purposes, if the following requirements are met:Both members live at the same postal address. (Starwood Vacation Network members (“Owners”) may transfer Starpoints between two designated Starwood Vacation Network Preferred Guest accounts, regardless of whether the accounts have the same residential address.) The recipient is not an employee of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Members may not transfer Starpoints to/from an account that has a P.O. Box, APO or SPO as the address. Both accounts must have been enrolled and active for at least 30 days. You may now fill out the online transfer request form. You will be asked to provide the quantity of Starpoints to be transferred, as well as the member number and last name of the account you wish to transfer to. Once account verification has taken place, a confirmation email will be sent to you within ten business days. Best Regards,
Are you sure you are not confusing amex plat 100k offer? Also none of the spending was MS.
Nope. No confusion here. If u hit the threshold, and points post, and then u dip back under, ur points will be placed under fraud review. If found "guilty", they will confiscate all remaining points. This happened to me. Luckily I managed to finish the spending again, as I was still within the 90 day period
They took your points, and you got them back?
Anyone ever heard about this? Amex does not let me make a payment using a new bank account, until the statement closes?
I heard of it
Any DP to share?
Nope they froze them, and warned me that if they find me guilty I will lose them. I transferred them out before they cud find me guilty tho
On a delta card?
PRG
Ah, the question was about a delta card.
If the no BT fee is standard, he can PC another card to a slate after transferring the balance.
