No, some banks cancel out $1 or $2. If they require payment of the amount, it gets reported.
I stand corrected.
You can leave $2 on Discover and they will write it off as a "small balance credit". And you can do it every month. Forever. Basically Discover will pay you $24/yr to keep their CC.
I like the way you put it. But isn't it $1.99 or less $2 already they won't credit you?
Yes

ThankYou
If I paid Amex credit card balance online from my bank account and would like to send them a check instead for the payment from another account. Can this be done? Will the check be accepted and credit made available on the card, or would the payment check be rejected as balance been paid in full?
Can you still cancel the payment?
Hi,If I have cc with an annual fee, and by the end of the year i downgrade it to a card with a $0 annual fee, will they charge me for the part of the year that i did have the other card (Chase/Capital One)?thanks
no
Which chase card is due end of year ?
I swear everyone in this thread does everything in their power to make their life more difficult.
no. But keep some action on that card, because you don't want it cancelled. 'Length of credit history' is a factor in your score.
