What inaccuracies have you found?

Almost all of the credit monitoring services, daily pullers etc have their quirks and issues especially as they relate to the accounts listed etc on your actual reports.  Credit Check Total, Credit Karma etc.

The only way to really know what's happening with your reports is to get them from the CRA's.

Can I have an example?
I've never seen CK be inaccurate by me

A FAKO score is a score that anyone comes up with using an algorithm they developed themselves, not using the CB's algorithm. It doesn't really make sense to say that anything is an "accurate FAKO."

If it doesn't say FICO©, it's a FAKO.  There are rare exceptions like Capital One has their own scoring system that is actually applicable to their underwriting and account management

Go to Creditboards or MyFico if you want to see huge threads on the disparities between daily puller reports and the actual CRA reports.

1. DROPR
2. definitely not closing the card.
3. I've heard conflicting reports, whether its the bonus or card opening.
I would appreciate clarification myself

My logic tells me the bonus, but I've been told otherwise...

That was my point exactly.

If I'm pre-approved for a card, Is there any difference applying with that link or regular application on their site? (For the same card)

It has to be the actual link. What bank are you talking about?

Generally if you'll be approved it'll be regardless, but you won't have the "pre-approved" advantage without it.

No difference. As far as I know, 'pre-approved' means that you are simply at a stage before approval.
'Pre-approved' is also very often used by advertisers and other lead generators to induce you to fill out the form on their websites.

It doesn't, however, mean that you are guaranteed a credit card or a loan. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nothing is guaranteed, but I believe you are confusing pre-qualified to apply, which is effectively nothing.

I called Amex about a charge from a few weeks ago I didn’t recognize. The rep gets on with fraud & then tells me fraud sees the same thing was charged several months ago. Regular rep can’t see it & I checked my statement & don’t either see it. How’s that possible ?

Was it charged a few months ago, or blocked?

Fraud said they see such a charge but nobody else sees it. The charge 2 weeks ago does show up.

NT: Is there any effect on my credit from closing a business platinum charge card? I know I could downgrade it to a free card but what's the point?
