No.
So n/t has to be stored in a fridge? I though he had taken out the dark liquid stuff from a fridge when I bought it.

So stick it back in the fridge until you're ready to use it.  Meanwhile, I think it's ok.

Which one is the yeast? The large bottle of dark liquid?

(I'm not always so hopeless)

Probably.  Unless you have dry yeast which wuold be in a packet.

You could also put the hops in the fridge.  Those will probably be in a packet.

The liquid would be the extract. AFAIK, liquid yeast is almost impossible to come by in Israel so your yeast is likely dry and in a paper packet. Like Henche said, just put them in the fridge and you'll be fine.

@jaywhy
Has the picobrew arrived?
I assumed that kickstarter projects are often delayed, so I just wanted to check in.

Nope, still waiting on it.
They've had a ton of production delays but they will have shipped the first 100 units by the end of next week.
My unit is at the tail end of the next 100 unit batch  I hope to get it before October.

Anyone made their own apple cider? I'm thinking about trying out some, and going to the beer shop in mevaseret  (http://www.thewinemaker.co.il), but would like to see if anyone has some pointers first.
Thanks!

I have. Really simple.

Go to farmers market and buy fresh presses apple cider-unpasteurized. (May need to request specially)
Put in carboy with airlock, wait a few weeks, prime and bottle.
If can't get unpastuerized cider, then pitch a chmpagne yeast. Does that need a hechsher? There is a kosher one I have seen from France which I used.

Frankly though, first buy a commercial hard apple cider (Harpoon makes one) and see if you like it. It isn't my favorite.

I had a McKenzie's Hard Apple Cider at Wolf & Lamb a while ago, and have been thinking of it since then :)

All these softcard promos let my buy a nice 15 gallon SS brew kettle and ball valve so I am looking for some new recipes.

I would love to buy grains in bulk and split with people if anyone is around the NYC area.
