Chase Switching All Mastercard Cards to Visa
« on: October 24, 2013, 02:39:42 PM »
Anyone else hear this?? My CSP rep just told me this is in the works and letters will be sent out within the next week or so when I tried switching my card from Visa to WMC.
(If this was previously posted I didn't see it)

The rep said it'll be replaced with a visa version.

Can anyone confirm? Is this just a case of DROPR?

What if you don't activate the visa?

Since when do you need to actually activate a new card?
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Whenever you get a replacement card the old one is deactivated and the new one needs to be activated. No?

no. The old one is not deactivated until you activate the new one. They wouldn't want to leave you for a week without a cc. Unless the original was reported stolen

It was reported by myself and another person in the SP Visa Thread.

What if you don't activate the visa?
Not activating the Visa will only get you 60 extra days. Once a card is replaced with another one, it is only good for the next 60 days. After that point it will stop working and you will be forced to activate the Visa. I know this because it happened to me once.
As for the report the OP was talking about- here's hoping it isn't true!!

If they do actually switch the MC to visa then you will most likely just end up with two separate SP accounts.

If I have the CSP MC now, is it smart to apply for the Visa now, and get the signup bonus before they change me automatically?

You have seriously got to stop capitalizing every word.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Do you think there's an SMF mod to auto-correct that? :P
