I wasnt saying it was not a hard hit ball...
I was just saying it felt like Deja Vu... here we go again...
Im happy I was wrong.
Doesn't it feel different bec. of Maddon?
Also, Theo and co. know what it takes to win. They built this thing from the bottom up with that in mind. The mentality of these players and coaches will prevent that Deja Vu (as opposed to Alex Gonzales and Dusty).
That being said, what it takes to win a WS is having a consistent playoff team (7 years in a row sounds good to me). Ask the Pirates who had a great team 3 years in a row, the last two running into a brick wall (Bumgarner/Arrieta).
Funny you should say that. I was watching the Hawks banner raising ceremony and my son tells me the Cubs are up 1-0 after the first. My response was "that game is over, next".
I was in the middle of playing baseball (we won). My son told be Fowler got a single and stole second. I said, nice - so they are gonna win. He asked why I changed my mind (before the game, I said it's a 50/50 coin toss). I told him it's "you go we go".
