You can but you'll pay a change fee
Buy the infant his own ticket

Is it cheaper to pay the change fee for 3 tickets or to book when i know the exact dates and pay the higher mileage price? and is a infant ticket same price?

No it doesn't.
If a route is only going up 5k miles, I would rather book later then pay a change fee.

Im looking at a specific intl 777 flight which shows no booked seats and want either J or F. I prefer F.

Should i book another date on J or in F and then hope to change it with a fee?

If i book it in J and F opens will they let me change and go up a class using the old rates?

And vice versa - If i book it in F and J opens, would they let me change and go down a class using the old rates?

What's the best way to approach this?

At this point, that is unknown. But according to what's been disseminated by UA, it would seem that would trigger a reprice.
2015: 116K bkd | 1.6M brnd | F: OZ,NH,AA,EK | J: UA,CA,TK,DL,TN,AF,VA | LIH,NRT,ROR,PEK,CNS,BOB,MEL,TLV & Pacific Hopper

Either direction (F to J or vice versa) would trigger a reprice? What's the best way to plan this out with UA releasing very few awards far out

If I finally found the route I'm planning to go in j.
Can I book that and later change it to the date I want to travel even so I'm going to change the times of the flight?
Thanks

This is a repost, please don't yell loudly at me, but I think it deserves to be posted in both locations.

Attached is a summary of all the ex-TLV flights using the pre-deval UA chart and the post-deval UA chart.

Obviously, the UA metal column isn't relevant for many of the routes (TLV-BKK for example), but I included it anyhow.

Also note that these are one-way awards, and saver options only.

UMMMM.. When were you going to tell me about this? Should I bring over the beer?
