Then why go to MLE?

Personally, I'd go to EZE or MLE. But that's just based on my own research and logic, not the CDCs. No doc will tell you otherwise, not worth the lawsuit.
But I mean, look at that map. There's no wall keeping the mossies out of Uruguay a few miles away from EZE.

Fair point on MLE. It's just then, when I did my research, there was a *single* report, and it was concluded that he had contracted it outside of MLE.

Same thing with other places and CDCs map.  Just easier (and much safer) to rely on the parts that aren't shaded...

And how many EZE reports have you found?

I'm not sure where you're getting your stats from, but that wasn't the case when I last researched.

Either way, though, MLE is unique in that each hotel is on it's own island, and I know that most resorts, and definitely including the SR MLE, fog every single day. Considering the size of the island, the chemicals, and the dearth of reports (again, when I researched), it's a rather safe bet.

That's, oh, about 250x the reports in MLE.

ETA: Actually, that seems to be the number for Dengue... It doesn't show the exact number of Zika cases, but this chart undermines your argument that EZE does NOT have many more cases:

Exactly. All zika cases in that report are in northern provinces.

Closest of those is about 500 miles from EZE.

1. What would use use as a nice base? What would you recommend are the must-sees/dos?

2. Have you been? Any ideas how customs are with food? Any Kosher there?

1. Considering you're looking for a rather relaxing vacation, I'd do just one of the aforementioned locations for 2-3 days.
2. I have not. Not sure about customs when flying, but I can find out if you're going via ferry from EZE.

Not much kosher there, but during the summer months there's a kosher pizza place

I actually enjoyed the mini-cabin j on aa more then f because of the fa's chatting loudly in the galley the whole flight
