1)Will PGGM work on Airline credit?
2)Will redeeming towards Airfare be reversed if I cancel the refundable ticket?
3)I just converted my AA Platinum to the Double Cash. Is it consdered an application, requiring me to wait 8 days before applying dor any other Citi Card?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Per Dan in ddms comments it'll work.
Also, no need to cross post...

Is the GE credit automatic (like with Amex)?
How long does it take to post?

I received the 100k Prestige targeted offer, applied for the card online, got this message: "...application pending further review...please call....(application status phone#)".

I called and they told me declined and to expect a letter in a few days with the reason but she couldn't tell me why.
I have a >800 credit score and this is the first time ever I was declined on a card :(

Does it make sense that they would decline a targeted offer?

Any suggestions for my next step? Wait it out? Should I HUCA? The same number? Call recon?

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Targeted offer does not automatically mean you will be approved.

Wait for the letter and then call again.

Or just call recon now. Do you have other Citi cards? Could probably split credit line if you do.

OK - HUCA'd and got approved :).
The issue was that I had a card from Citi that I stopped using in 2007. They automatically closed it in 2011 due to inactivity. This showed up as a negative "Citi closed his cc...". After the rep did a little investigation he said that really should not be problem and disregard what the earlier rep told me.
So I'm good to go.
Thanks for your help.

Good to know. I've got a card they closed for inactivity too. I have yet to apply for another personal, so won't know if that's how they treat that across the board. But I did get the Biz AA and was approved automatically.

I think I did. Yea I must have, otherwise I wouldn't have known because my HH card had its own login and I don't ever use it.

Did/would they open it back up if you asked? Would be a shame to lose that history of it was one of the older cards you had.

I did try HUCA a few times, but no dice. Could try more but I was ok with it.... I think.

I probably did get a letter but I don't remember. Never asked to reactivate the card. Maybe I should have kept it alive with some small charge once in a while. Actually rarely used it when I had it.
