This card is really going to pay off. Business travel with four night hotel stays = $

Concierge booking was really a pain for the first one. Had to wait on hold, etc. While he looked up the hotel and waited on hold with the hotel. However, asked them to save my information on file. Sent an email to concierge@yourconciergecenter.com with all the details of my next booking. Had a hotel reservation in my mailbox in 22 minutes. Awesome! First booking made around $180, this one will be $116 (it's for work travel). Card already paid for itself!

Why did he call the hotel? When I've booked with concierge they book it directly on the hotel's website.

Can you book the 4 th night free benefit online like via priceline or hhonors website? Or does it have to be over the phone?

You can book online via Citi prestige portal, but then you don't get hotel benefits. Best way is to call once and ensure they leave your info on file and when do any subsequent bookings via email

Is the 1.6 cpp for AA flights still in effect?

I don't see this mentioned very often but don't forget that you get 2 years on top of the manufacturers warranty as opposed to 1 extra year on most other Chase and Amex cards. Also, per the terms, you only need to put a PORTION of the charge on your citi card. So I guess if the merchant allows you to split the transaction, you can put $1 on your citi card and the rest on a better points card.

Ah good catch. But nevertheless, Citi 24 months > Amex 12 months

Cancelling - 60 days to redeem your TY points or lose them.
Downgrading - Depends. Downgrade to TY Premier, you can still transfer. Downgrade to TY Preferred, then you keep the points, but can only be used for cash back but not transfer.

Is there any way to combine the marriot offer of get 3rd night free with prestige's get 4th night free? Or does each offer need to be done on their portal?

im guessing it's probably smarter to transfer to Singapore than use as cashback? Is there a better transfer partner? I'm a little concerned about the 36 month expiration...

Not sure what Marriott offer you are referring to, but Citi prestige does not need to be booked through portal, can also use concierge as stated above. They should have access to any publicly available rates

Can anyone confirm that downgrading from Prestige to Preferred didn't generate new card number (and  hence doesn't restart 24 month clock)?

I just submitted transfer request to Singapore miles. Do I have to wait for transfer to complete before downgrading card?

Representative told me that the credit card number will change...(unlike the DOC post).
