Can you explain how FR determines which points get used first, i.e., those from S&S vs. those from FR? Feels like a black box to me.

Seems like it uses whatever expires first. In most situations FR points expire last cause they don't expire till 30 days + end of month. Also SS only takes off max 1.50 so it deducts that first then takes the rest of the discount from FR.
I hope that's not confusing enough
