@dove

You kind of misspelled the thread title too. :)
How do you get a group of lawyers to smile for a picture?

A: Just say "Fees!"

You could call up and tell them.  One letter is probably not a problem to change.
(don't call unless you have a ticket number)

anecdotally: I made tickets for myself and 2 sisters to go to my brother's simcha out of town.  When I emailed the confirmation to them, One told me I used her wrong first name AND wrong date (but not month or year) of birth!   I called the airline and it took a supervisor to change it, but I was able to get it done.  domestic. changed the day after ticketing.

Hi, I spelled my fathers international ticket with United to Switzerland "Salamon" instead of Salomon.
Is it a problem? Thanks

As long as its close enough they will not check each letter. I had it with myself and didn't have any issues. Worst case scenario you can say you didn't notice yourself until now.

Just a data point.

I made a ticket with my wife's maiden name on it. US Air would not let us fly even with proof of marriage, passport with maiden name and green card with current name. They were able to switch the name on the ticket at the airport for me after a ten minute wait. Not sure if other airlines are as accommodating, or if it was just US Air being a bit crazy about not letting us fly and then "fixing" it. Either way, wanted to share.

I had the same issue with united a few years ago where the ticket was issued with my wife's married name and passport was in maiden name and they were ok with the marriage certificate. so i guess it depends on the staff at the airport and your attitude towards them.

I missed a letter in my wife's last name on an international ticket. Only 2 people noticed and didn't care. I haden't even noticed before we started flying. This happened 3 months ago.

I flew on AA (Avios) and the check in agent changed it without any problems, & with out a marriage certificate

My brother booked a domestic ticket for his wife under her married last name, and her ID was for her maiden name, Jetblue (or Delta) would not accept it. They made them pay a change fee of 125 at the airport counter because it was a different name completely they claimed. Flying out of JFK to MIA/FLL (don't remeber which one)
